Frist Blog

Good evening.  My name is Dave and this is my blog.  This is the first blog I have up on my blogspot and basically an intro to my life.  I am married to a wonderful woman named Crystal and have  a beautiful going on 9 months daughter named Makayla.  I love them so much and I miss them too.  I am on the road in Ohio.

If you don't know what I do, I am in a Christian band from San Antonio,TX called Abandon (www.abandonrock.com).  We are on a 5 week tour that started out in Texas and made our way through Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and now Ohio.  It has been great tour so far.  The first two weeks we spent a good amount in Nashville song-writing and recording 2 new songs for our full length release this August.  It was a good challenge to record 2 songs in 3 days, what a long 3 days that was.  But we did it and God helped us get through it.  We can't wait to share them with all our family and friends.

The past 2 weeks on the road have been fun with a little bit of challenges.  One of the axles on our trailer broke, so the 2 brothers in our band,(who are mechanics) rented a grinder and a welder to fix our trailer.  They did it in 7 hrs.  It was crazy.  I wouldn't know how to work or figure out what was wrong with it.  I just repeat what they say.  So our trailer is running again but we need a new one very soon.  We will be hauling more gear and merch this summer for the festivals we will be at.  So please pray that we find a great deal on a trailer very soon.

Even though this is my first and no one may not read it for awhile, I hope you enjoy and I will update it as much as i can.  Feel free to pass it on to your friends about my blogspot.  Have a great weekend and remember to sunscreen for the summer.

-Dave

  1. Hey Dave! It's cool that you're blogging now... I could never write them, but I waste way too much time reading them. ;) Hope everything goes well for the remainder of the tour, and please come back to Michigan when you guys get the chance!
